As a Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer and Co-Founder at General Catalyst Partners, Bill is responsible for all financial, legal, compliance and administrative functions. Bill also assists General Catalyst's investment professionals on a broad range of portfolio support activities.
Before co-founding General Catalyst, Bill served as Chief Financial Officer for the portfolio companies of FC Management Group. In this role, he co-founded a number of businesses with Joel Cutler and David Fialkow, as well as served as interim CFO for Miami Cruise Holdings.
Bill was also Vice President and Treasurer of a private equity buyout group that focused on acquisitions of under-performing or strategically challenged businesses. Prior to that, Bill was manager at KPMG LLP and an Adjunct Professor of Taxation at Boston College.
He’s a member of the Massachusetts Bar and Certified Public Accountants Associations, the Association For Corporate Growth, the Financial Executives Institute and is a former Director of the Private Equity CFO Association. Bill frequently speaks at industry forums.
Bill is a graduate of the College Of The Holy Cross, earning a B.A. and Suffolk University Law School, where he received a J.D.
